Store of Bargains is a Consignment Online Internet Virtual Store.
Welcome to Store of Bargains!
Hello, I am Joanna MaGrath the face behind, "Store of Bargains".
The idea came about as my weekend yard sales kept getting rained out.
One weekend I just put everything out and the rain came. No tarps, no covers, no nothing and I feverishly searched trying to cover stuff from the rain. I recruited my daughter to help pack everything up but that lasted a total of... "Mom, I don't want to get wet".
Packing everything up all by myself I couldn't differentiate between my rain and the real rain. I got it all dried and packed back up. There it was in a huge pile. I got to thinking I could just call Lighthouse Ministries and donate it all! ...but I need the money. I am trying to purchase a vehicle. Life is a story and we all have one.
Then I got a call from one of my clients asking if I could list a few things in my eBay store for her. She wanted me to do all the work and she just wanted a paycheck. She didn't want to learn how to post, she didn't want to take any pictures, she didn't know how to upload her pictures to her email account to send them to me, she didn't want to have to calculate any of the shipping costs, she didn't want to do any of the packaging, she didn't want to go to the post office and her excuses were going on and on how she was to busy but needed the cash.
I don't really share my life or my hardships of life. I really don't want to ask anybody for anything. I am the type of person who has to be really desperate before I will be speak up. Most of the time I will listen and try to come up with solutions.
What our conversation all boiled down to is she just wanted cash for her stuff and she didn't want to do anything but collect the cash. I was looking at my pile of stuff I just finished bring in hoping she couldn't tell I was crying my eyes out. You know the crying voice? I told myself to suck it up and put on my happy face. Then it hit me like a tone of bricks, "Store of Bargains". Only I was thinking as she was talking she takes pictures and I market her stuff to the Internet slash social media sites. I'm thinking she will communicate with the public and meet up with them to make the transaction.
I am self taught web site designer slash social media engineer. I build websites, design them, do the graphics work, come up with the domain names, tag lines, short descriptions, make my presentation online, globally and bring the public to my presentation organically. I do it all and depending how much knowledge you posses I can do the SEO (Search Engine Optimization). SEO is very time consuming. Minus the SEO, my only cost is the overhead: domain name, domain registration, website hosting fee, my creative juices, my knowledge how to bring this all together and my time. Easy peazy!
Not so fast... she wanted me to do all this for free. We all have to put food on our table and groceries, housing, transportation, clothes, electric, internet connection, and etc. etc. etc., are not free last time I checked. I may be a domestic engineer (stay at home Mom) but I work, this is my job only it doesn't pay. I also homeschool and there are fees associated with this as its not free. I am the bread winner, the Mom, the Dad and everything in between.
Putting a little more thought into my idea is how "Store of Bargains" has manifested only with a twist.
This is how I also came to purchasing the domain name "http://www.Tag-Sale-Online.com". Store of Bargains is all built out but I felt to reach a bigger audience I needed more. Tag-Sale-Online leads right back to Store of Bargains website.
I am always thinking and always trying to come up with ideas to drive the public to StoreOfBargains.com slash Tag-Sale-Online.com. I foresee stickers, caps, shirts, bags, etc. etc. etc. a whole line of stuff to promote my idea to the public just by the logo alone. Good stuff to come.
If you think we are a fit give me a call or email me. I also receive text messages in this day and age of computer talking.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Respectfully,
Joanna MaGrath

- I bring your stuff to the Internet where I charge you a small fee, you send me pictures, a description, how much you would like to get for the item, I promote your stuff on my website and via social media, you connect up with the public and collect payment.
- If you prefer I do everything:
- I will research your item(s) for maximum price
- Decide to list in my eBay store and/or promote on my website and via social media
- I will inventory your item(s), take pictures, list, promote, package and ship
- After my social media fees, eBay fees, PayPal fees, packaging fees, shipping fees we split the balance 60/40
- You get 60% cash payout after expenses.
